UK retail sales figures coming under fire
Some leading retailers are rubbishing the Office of National Statistics retail sales figures from yesterday, according to this report in the Telegraph
. The cable flew higher and EUR/GBP fell almost 100 pips on the back of the results which supposedly showed Britons spending at 30 year highs. I know we've had exactly the same issues in the past but the ONS figures still seem to be totally contrary to what the high street is saying.
